Fast
Practical is fast to load, but more importantly, it has features that make it very fast to add a new entry to your food diary. For example, the search box supports quantities and units when searching for foods. You can search for "4 oz of cheddar cheese" or "100g of peanuts" or "3 oreos" and add it to your diary directly from the search results. You can even use fractions (e.g. "1/3 of a pizza") when searching or adding to your food diary.
Flexible
Practical allows you to set up your nutrition goals in any way you want. The default display closely follows US FDA labeling, but you can easily customize the nutrient display for tracking macros, a low-fat diet, a low-carb diet, or any other combination you like. Simply drag the rows in the table until you get the display you want. Enter goals by quantity (e.g. grams of fat, or number of calories), or target precentages (e.g. no more than 12% of calories from saturated fat). There's almost no diet that can't be accommodated.
Privacy-Focused
To register, you need only a username and a password. You don't need to enter an email address, or link to other accounts. But remember your password - because we don't have any way to contact you, we can't do password resets.
